Longbridge Cottage is a beautiful grade II listed stone holiday cottage available to rent for breaks of 3 to 21 days. Prices range from £45 to £75 per night (not per person)

This lovely old cottage is set in the cobbled grounds of historic Longbridge House (our AA 4*rated B&B), nestled within the oldest part and conservation area of Shepton Mallet.

This charming cottage is part of the grounds of Longbridge House, an historic house, famed locally for being where the Duke of Monmouth stayed before and after the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685.

With a high vaulted ceiling, beams and thick stone walls it retains many of its original characteristics. Steps lead to a sunny south-facing decked area with views over surrounding buildings and backing onto the owners’ garden.

Accommodation: The accommodation designed for 2 people, consists of a galleried bedroom, an open living/dining room/kitchen area, a shower room and toilet. There’s a stylish open tread spiral stairs to a king size bed in a vaulted galleried bedroom which looks down over the main living area giving a great sense of space.

Generally the cottage is designed for 2 people only as there is only 1 bedroom, however if you have a small child and wish to bring your own cot/pop-up bed with your own bedding, then this is absolutely fine.

Rates for the cottage vary from £45 to £75 a night (not per person), depending on the length of stay and season. Stays can be between 3 and 21 nights,

Included in the price:
Electricity CH, bedlinen and towels, Freeview TV with DVD player, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine (in external utility), dishwasher, freezer, Wi-fi, courtyard with seating area, sun decking with patio furniture and parking.
NB: Pond in courtyard, steps in garden.

On arrival you will find eggs, milk, tea, coffee, sugar and cookies already in the cottage waiting for you.

Check in is after 3pm on day of arrival and last check out is 10am on day of departure.

Places nearby: Pilton, where the Glastonbury Festival is held, is 3 miles away, Wells 5 miles away, Glastonbury, 8 miles away, Bath 18 miles and the Royal Bath and Wells Showground is a short 5 minute drive. There’s also the beautiful Mendip countryside to explore and for ‘shopaholics’, Kilver Court Designer Emporium is 1 mile down the road, designer outlet shopping at Clarkes Village approx. 15 minutes away, plus much more!
